We started the Wholefood Store in 1998 when our daughter Maisie was three and son Tom just a year old. Before this we had worked and lived on a farm growing organic vegetables for the local wholefood shop, a business we enjoyed running for three years. Our shop in Brightlingsea wasn’t big enough to hold us…. Or for all we imagined our store could be.

 

Our ambition has always been to seek out the highest quality food from local and international sources. In the last ten years the Wholefood Store has doubled in size and today its shelves groan under the weight of our unique lines of whole foods, organic fruits and vegetables, breads and cakes, natural body care products, nutritional supplements and eco-friendly household goods.

 

You can find our friendly family run store in the heart of Manningtree High Street, a short stroll away from the beautiful banks of the Stour Estuary.
